About NAR Wisdom
This weblog was created out of frustration. Frustration with the NAR. They seem almost completely out of touch with today's market, and the needs of real estate agents and real estate consumers alike.
There is a lot of discussion out there in the real estate blogging community about the NAR. It is scattered across the Internet, and sometimes difficult to find.
I'd like to have a spot where those thoughts and opinions can be collected, analyzed and discussed in an open atmosphere.
Anyone is welcome to comment, or add a post. I understand some don't feel comfortable expressing their true feelings about the NAR with their name attached. Anonymous comments and contributions are OK.

Depends on where the position is seated in the organization. Should be a membership relations type position, not a PR type.
I absolutely think that they do. The headway that has been made and the new energy from prior nay sayers that has been created is fully because of vision and effort from Ben at VAR. Look at the ROI of Ben Martin’s effort in not only Virginia but elsewhere. Realtor Bloggers have reached leadership in a way that no other category of member has before.

Jay, you and I have spoken over the phone about this before and I feel very strongly that they need a Social Media Director. And wow, it seems like two of us here (their names rhyme with Pen and Brawny) have that same job title right now. Weird.
Seriously though, this is something they surely have taken note of but I don’t anticipate it happening within the next 3-5 years. And if it does not, the boat will be sorely missed (which I also unfortunately have to predict will happen) despite their newly laid efforts to modernize.
