Here’s one of the things that annoys me about the NAR.
They spend my dues producing crap like this…
UPDATE: A concerned reader pointed out that posting the actual video here might be a violation of the realtor.com Terms of Service, so I have elected to remove the video clip from this site. It’s not worth the battle when the clip is available directly from the NAR on realtor.com.
You can view it here from the Public side of realtor.com

First off, let me tip my hat to you for creating this site. When it comes to certain issues, NAR is a bully (the domain name issue readily comes to mind — why force a Realtor to change their domain name just because they use the word Realtor in it, and why wait over a year in many cases to send out the letter telling them to do so).
Anyway, that’s not why I’m writing.
I am writing because I happen to think that that the NAR advertisement you’ve shown us is actually a good one. In many parts of the U.S., home prices are dropping, there are more homes in inventory, and for those consumers who played by the rules and didn’t get caught up in the mortgage fraud mess (by overstating their income or participating in risky cash-back-at-closing schemes), now is their time to buy at a more affordable and reasonable price than before.
As much as a I tip my hat to you for putting up this site, I tip my hat to NAR for driving traffic to Realtors in a time of uncertainty in many parts of the country. Could the ad have been produced with better actors, images, or specific reasons about why now is a great time to buy? Of course, but savvy buyers already know that, and perhaps that is who the ad is targeted at.
Thank you for the information… I used to make fun of people who blogged, now I schedule 20 min a day minimum to blogging…
